Cochrane Mini Wolves
Mini Wolves is our introduction to soccer for our youngest players, built around Canada Soccer’s Active Start philosophy: at this age, the goal isn’t structured instruction, it’s play. Children develop the fundamental movement skills, coordination, and confidence that come from exploring a ball, and a love for the game grows naturally out of that.

U4 (No-Cost Program)
U4 is a free first come first serve program designed to introduce families to the idea of play through soccer. Parents must join their child on the court, working through activities together that build physical literacy as young players get comfortable with a ball underfoot. At this age, the ball is simply a toy to explore, there’s no pressure, no instruction, just movement, discovery, and time together. Come and play.
Overview
U6 (Ages 5 & 6)
U6 follows the same spirit with a small shift. Parents are still welcome and encouraged on the court, but our Youth Development Coach now takes the lead, guiding children through a series of tasks and puzzles they work through on their own. It’s a gentle step toward independence, giving kids room to problem-solve and explore the game at their own pace, while still keeping things playful and pressure-free.
Whether it’s a child’s very first touch of a ball or their first steps toward independent play, Mini Wolves is about building a foundation, and a love for the game, one session at a time.
